Way back in December 2021, the Supreme Court of Canada heard oral argument in three family law appeals that dealt with, among other things, the appropriate standard of review in parenting cases.  B.J.T. v. J.D. was a child protection case that required the Court to determine whether to place a young child with his biological father, or with his maternal grandmother
