Bio

Sian is  one of our 2025-2026 articling students.

Sian received her J.D. from the University of Toronto Law School, having completed a Master of Science in Journalism (MSJ) at Northwestern University (cum laude).

While at Law School, Sian was a caseworker with Downtown Legal Services in the Family Law Division.  Sian participated in the 2025 Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition and she, with Morgan Blimkie, were recognized with Second Place for their Representation Plan and Third Place Team Overall.  Sian also volunteered with the International Human Rights Program.   Sian's paper, Paws in the Law: Reimagining Legal Frameworks for Pet Custody, will be published in the September 2025 issue of the Canadian Family Law Quarterly (Carswell).

Prior to law school, Sian worked with the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre in Vancouver and was a student tutor at Northwestern University.

Sian is fluent in Korean.
