Bio
Brent employs effective storytelling and sound strategy to advocate for her clients and ensure that they are heard. She pursues her clients' goals through a lens of preserving the family unit. Brent is passionate about her work and strives to achieve meaningful and practical results -- taking the time to understand her clients' needs and using all appropriate methods of dispute resolution to meet their objectives. Brent is solution-focused and provides compassionate and trauma-informed counsel.
Brent has experience in complex family law matters relating to corporate/trust issues, multi-jurisdictional considerations, and enforcement/injunctive relief. Brent also has extensive experience navigating parenting issues, including child abduction, alienation, relocation, mental-health and addiction challenges, and cross-border parenting, with sensitivity and kindness.
During law school, Brent volunteered as a Caseworker with the Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) and Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC).
