Alexi Grewal

Alexi rejoins us as one of our 2026-2027 Articling Students after summering with us in 2025.

Alexi received her Juris Doctor from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law in Halifax in 2026.  Alexi also has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Toronto.

During law school, Alexi founded the Dalhousie Family Law Society and, under her leadership, the Society was recognized as the "2025 Society of the Year" by the Law Students' Society, as selected by the Dean.  She also organized the funding and approval of the law school's first team at the Walsh Family Law Moot Competition in 2026.  Alexi and her mooting partner were recognized with the Second Place Appellant Factum and her school placed Third overall.

Alexi spent her last term at law school at the Nova Scotia Supreme Court (Family Division)  providing research for judges and shadowing on mediations, conferences, trials and child protection hearings.

Alexi was also a Project Coordinator for the Consent Project, a pro bono initiative aimed at educating middle and high school students about consent and sexual assault laws, and a Student Advocate at the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service for students who have academic integrity offences.

Alexi was a writer and editor at the Weldon Times, the student-run, independent, newspaper at the Law School at Dalhousie.   Alexi also interned at Luke’s Place in Oshawa, supporting women who have experienced intimate partner violence, in their family court cases, after first year.
